Mobi Dog Pet Salon & Spa

Please read our policies before your grooming appointment.

Health and Medical

All pets in Mobi Dog care must be current on Rabies and Distemper/ Parvo vaccinations. Bordetella vaccine is highly recommended. This vaccination helps to prevent the spread of kennel cough. In the case that your pet does not have Bordetella vaccine, Mobi Dog will not be held liable if your pet becomes ill with Kennel cough. Please be ready to show proof of current vaccines. All vaccines must be given by a licensed veterinarian.

Occasionally, grooming can expose a hidden medical problem or aggravate one. This can occur during or after grooming such as sensitive skin and hot spots. All medical expenses for veterinary care will be covered by the pet owner upon signing for this contract/ agreement.

Although accidents are rare, there is a risk when dealing with pets. Grooming equipment is sharp and although mobi dog uses extreme caution and care, possible problems could occur including cuts, nicks, scratches, quickening of nails, etc. In most cases this can happen when a pet is wiggling or moving around. This is why it is important to keep your pet on a regular scheduled grooming routine to train them to stay calm and still as possible.

In the event that an accident does occur, you will be notified of the accident. If Mobi Dog feels it is serious, and the owner is not on site, Mobi Dog will seek immediate veterinary care for your pet from a Mobi Dog pre-approved veterinarian. Payment for such care will be at the owner's expense unless mobi dog has written opinion from their Pre-approved veterinarian stating that the cause of injury was indeed by the staff of Mobi Dog. If the pet owner discovers any injuries to the pet after grooming service, owner must contact Mobi dog within 24 hours of visit and before any veterinary visits.

Mobi Dog strives to be a flea free salon. If during the grooming process, the groomer discovers your pet has fleas, he/she will be given a flea bath at the owner's expense of $10.00 added to the final bill. Mobi Dog recommends all pets to be on monthly flea and tick preventative.

Aggressive Pets

Mobi Dog has the right to refuse service at any time. If your pet is too stressed or becomes dangerous to groom, Mobi Dog has the right to refuse service, stop service, or cancel grooming services at any time before, during or after the visit, The client will be charged the grooming fee for services done to that point. Muzzling is only used as a last resort.  If extensive handling is required and it takes more than one groomer then a handling Fee may be added to the final bill.

Interruptions during grooming service

For the safety of the pets being groomed, it is asked that you do not interrupt the groomer during the grooming session. If you arrive to pick up your pet and it is still being groomed, Please do NOT talk to your pet or allow him/her to see you. Please step outside or quietly wait in the waiting area until the groom is completed. Every effort will be made to ensure your pet is groomed as safely as possible, but an excited pet can be dangerous to continue working on. If you insist on speaking to your pet or the groomer, we reserve the right to end the grooming session, even if the groom is not completed and the full grooming price will be charged.

Matted Coats

Pets with severely matted coats require extra attention. Mats in a pets coat grow tight, and can ultimately damage and tear the pets skin, which provides a breeding ground for parasite infestation. Mobi Dog will not cause serious or undue stress to your pet by dematting. Mats can be very difficult to remove and may require the pet to be shaved. Removing a heavily matted coat can also cause nicks, cuts or abrasions due to skin growths trapped in the mats. Heavy matting can also trap moisture and urine near the pets skin allowing mold, fungus, or bacteria to grow, producing skin irritation that existed prior to the grooming service. After effects of mat removal procedures can include itching, skin redness, self inflicted irritations or abrasions, hematomas and failure of the hair to regrow. In some cases pets may also exhibit behavioral changes. Prevention is the best defense by regular grooming appointments and brushing and combing your pet at home. If your pet is matted and requires special attention, a demat fee ($1.00 per minute) will be charged on the final bill.

Payment is due at the time of pick up. Mobi Dog prefers cash and checks, however we do accept credit cards. A $25.00 fee will be added for any returned checks.
